Cameron Wade Shelton, a 23-year-old student at UNC-Charlotte, passed away on June 22nd. Cameron was working toward his bachelor’s degrees in Finance and English. He was an avid surfer and talented musician with a love for guitar. Cameron was a kind person with a thirst for knowledge and an inspiration to all who knew him.
NAMI,
the National Alliance on Mental Illness, strives to educate the community about
mental illness and provide resources for those coping with it. There are over
200,000 people in Mecklenburg County with a mental illness, many of whom suffer
in silence and without resources. NAMI’s goal for this concert is to ensure that
the community knows where to turn in the event that they are in need of these
resources.
